Ummey Salma Raaya is a Bangladeshi writer and lyricist. She was born on September 8, 2004, in Bagerhat, Khulna. From a very young age, Raaya had a keen interest in literature and writing. Her love for poetry was nurtured by her father, who was also a poet. Growing up, she was influenced by the works of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Jibanananda Das. In her teenage years, Raaya began to write her own poetry, focusing on themes of social justice, human rights, and gender equality.
